Artist statement

My works are sketches of change, growth and their influences.
Visualizations of the constant flow of influence and the dynamics of social interaction. I experience, observe, note and then abstract the subject.

Abstract and (sometimes) minimalistic images arise by alternating between experiments and the total control of studio & set design. A dynamic whole of influences originates.

You may have noticed that influence is one of the keywords in my work. I am fascinated to see the movements in this field of tension where objects, subjects and environment are influencing each other. 

Philosophical issues are the base of my conceptual work. (ENG)

Mijn werken zijn schetsen van verandering, ontwikkeling en alles wat daar invloed op heeft. Visualisering van de constante stroom van beïnvloeding en de dynamiek van sociale interactie.

Ik ervaar, constateer, observeer en vervolgens abstraheer ik het onderwerp. Abstracte en (soms) minimalistische beelden ontstaan, door experiment te laten afwisselen met de totale controle van studio en set design. Zo ontstaat er dynamisch geheel van invloed en beinvloeding.

Het zal je opgevallen zijn dat invloed en beinvloeding belangrijke woorden in mijn werk zijn. Ik ben gefascineerd door het hele spanningsveld van invloed en beinvloeding rondom objecten, subjecten en omgeving.

Filosofische topics zijn de basis van mijn werk als kunstenaar.
